Country markets are what were formerly known as WI Markets . Country markets are a co-operative which offer a retail outlet to small producers of home produce and handmade crafts. There is a nominal fee of 5 pence for joining and as part of your membership you are covered by their public liability insurance. collective produce is displayed on one stall and manned by volunteers . A 10% commision on sales is taken to cover costs and any money due to you from sales is paid monthly. I think if you sell food you have to do a Food hygiene course which they can organise but there is a charge . There are already many markets in Lincolnshire (links below) but I did (ambitiously) wonder if we could set up our own at one of the regions farmers markets). check out the website and let me know what you think.
